Core tasks:

Detecting crimes committed by police officers and identification of their offenders

Powers and tasks: 

 

  • Carrying out operational searching under the provision of the rules of criminal procedure and the police of the Czech Republic Act
     
  • Performing acts of the police authority under the provision of the rules of criminal procedure
     
  • Performing acts of criminal proceedings according to instructions of the prosecuting attorney
     
  • Using inspection methods to find out whether police officers have not committed a crime
     
  • Inquiring into complaints against groups of police officers defined in the Ministry of the Interior organizational guidelines
     
  • Analyzing police officers crimes, setting out strategies for the fight against these crimes, suggesting appropriate inspection techniques
     
  • Participating in implementing prevention programmes
     
  • Co-operating with similar departments and institutions of other states
     
  • Ensuring support activities required to fulfill the Inspection of the Minister of the Interior tasks
